  • VASP Airline (acronym for Viação Aérea São Paulo) was a Brazilian airline that operated from 1933 to 2005. It was one of the largest airlines in Brazil and had its hub at Congonhas Airport in Sao Paulo.
  • Throughout its history, VASP operated domestic and international flights and played a significant role in connecting various cities within Brazil. The airline had a fleet of different aircraft, including Boeing and McDonnell Douglas models.
  • In the early 2000s, VASP faced financial difficulties and entered into bankruptcy. It made its last flight on January 12, 2005, and ceased operations soon after. Despite attempts to revive the airline, VASP was ultimately liquidated, marking the end of its existence in the aviation industry.
