It was headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota and had its primary hub at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The airline had a significant international presence, with routes connecting North America with Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • Northwest Airlines was known for its extensive network of domestic and international destinations, offering both passenger and cargo services. It was a founding member of the SkyTeam airline alliance, which allowed seamless connections and shared services with other member airlines.
  • In 2008, Northwest Airlines merged with Delta Air Lines to form the world's largest airline at that time. The merged entity continued to operate under the Delta Air Lines brand, effectively ending the Northwest Airlines brand.
