Air Italy

  • Air Italy was an Italian airline that operated scheduled flights to various domestic and international destinations. It was founded in 1963 as Meridiana, and in 2018, it rebranded as Air Italy. The airline was partly owned by Qatar Airways, who had a 49% stake in the company.
  • Air Italy offered both economy and business class cabins to its passengers and had a fleet of modern aircraft, including Boeing and Airbus planes. The airline provided services to destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
  • However, in February 2020, Air Italy ceased operations and announced its liquidation due to financial difficulties. This decision led to the cancellation of all flights and left passengers stranded.
